Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This page explains how Synkly handles account data and anonymous statistics.

1. What is Synkly?

Synkly is a relationship and question game for couples, dating, friends, and groups. The service runs in the browser and can also be installed as a web app (PWA).

2. Account data

When you create an account, we store:

Alias (username)
Password (stored securely / hashed)
Email address, if you choose to add one (optional)
Your answers to the questions, so the game and the matching work
Technical information required for the service to function

We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.

2b. Email and notifications

If you add an email address we use it to reset your password and, unless you unsubscribe, for the occasional reminder email when you have been away for a while. Every reminder has an unsubscribe link, and you can switch reminders on or off in your profile. Emails are sent through the email service Brevo.

Push notifications (for example when you match) are only sent if you allow them in your browser, and you can turn them off there.

3. Analytics

Synkly uses Google Analytics to understand how the service is used and to improve functionality and user experience.

The information collected is used for anonymous, aggregated statistics (for example, which pages are visited and how often).

IP addresses are anonymized within the EU according to Google’s standard GA4 settings.

4. Cookies

Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies to collect anonymous usage statistics.

Synkly does not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We only share what is needed to run the service: analytics through Google Analytics and email delivery through Brevo.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

Request information about what data is stored
Correct inaccurate data
Request that your account is deleted
