Synkly works as a web app. That means you can add it to your home screen so it feels like a real app — and then enable notifications for reminders and updates.
How to add Synkly to your home screen:
Open Synkly in Safari
Important: use Safari (not an in-app browser inside Instagram/Facebook).
Tap the Share icon
It looks like a square with an arrow pointing up.
Select “Add to Home Screen”
Scroll until you see the option.
Tap “Add”
Synkly will appear as an icon on your home screen.
How to add Synkly to your home screen:
Open Synkly in Chrome
Go to Synkly and wait until the page finishes loading.
Tap the menu button (⋮)
In the top-right corner of Chrome.
Select “Install app” / “Add to Home screen”
The wording may vary between devices.
Tap “Install”
Synkly will show up among your apps.
Notifications are used for reminders (like “time for a question”) and game updates (if you choose to use them).
Open Synkly
Ideally via the home screen icon (if you installed it).
When the notification prompt appears — tap “Allow”
If you accidentally tap “Block”, you can change it later (see troubleshooting below).
If you don’t get the prompt
Check that notifications aren’t blocked for synkly.se in your browser settings.
Open Synkly in Chrome → tap the 🔒 icon next to the address → go to Site settings → under Notifications choose Allow (or reset permissions). Then reload the page.
In-app browsers often have limitations. Copy the link and open it in Safari (iPhone) or Chrome (Android) instead.
Make sure Synkly is added to your home screen and notifications are allowed. Also check iPhone settings → Notifications and verify that Synkly (or Safari/PWA) is allowed to show notifications. If “Do Not Disturb” is enabled, notifications may be silenced.
iPhone: Settings → Notifications → find Synkly (or the web app entry) → turn off.
Android: Chrome → Site settings → Notifications → block synkly.se.
